Oracle VM VirtualBox can be used on a Windows host where Hyper-V is running. This is an experimental feature. No configuration is required. Oracle VM VirtualBox detects Hyper-V automatically and uses Hyper-V as the virtualization engine for the host system. VirtualBox does not have optimized graphics drivers for MacOS, and MacOS is graphics heavy. Every last little thing has an animation. You will need to find or build a Darwin kext (kernel extension) for whatever video VirtualBox uses. This is because as VirtualBox or Parallels run on the host machine, the host processor will need to approve some requests, which slows down its usability. VM's also use more RAM, so it may slightly slow your system now. Often the speed doesn't seem noticeably slower, and you'll be able to run Windows on your Mac without any problems. There are a lot of hardware changes to the VirtualBox that will improve the performance of your VM, and we've covered that in this article today. However, if your Linux VM is running slow, you should also consider the desktop environment you are running on it. Out of the box, most Linux distributions use Gnome Shell or KDE Plasma.

Mac In Virtualbox
No configuration is required. Oracle VM VirtualBox detects Hyper-V automatically and uses Hyper-V as the virtualization engine for the host system. The CPU icon in the VM window status bar indicates that Hyper-V is being used.
When using this feature, some host systems might experience significant Oracle VM VirtualBox performance degradation.
